Roman Numeral Cards

Do you know your Roman Numerals? Practice these ancient numerals and write out special dates and events using the Roman Numeral Cards. Before you know it, you’ll be more fluent than the average Ancient Roman!

The Roman Numeral Cards is a deck of 20 cards including 4 each of the symbols I, V, X, L, and C. Simply pull, drag, and drop a card onto the playing area. Then, double-tap it to turn it over. Add as many cards to the playing area as you’d like. Move the cards around to create numbers with them. To remove them, simply drag and drop them outside of the playing area. Use the pencil tool to write numbers or notes. The eraser tool erases. Clear the whole board with the trash can button.

You can have lots of fun with the Roman Numeral Cards. Here are a few games to try:

Pull up one or more cards. Ask students to write down the number represented by the Roman numerals.
Ask students to display their birth year using the Roman Numeral Cards.
Ask students to use the Roman Numeral Cards to show event numbers, such as the Olympics or other sporting events.
Have students model addition and subtraction problems using the Roman Numeral Cards.
