Tally

Use this online tally for keeping score, counting, and teaching students to make tally marks.

Click the plus button to add to your tally and the minus button to remove a tally mark. Use the trash can symbol to clear the board. The “Number OFF” and “Number ON” toggle can be used to show or not show the number represented by the tally.

If you’re keeping score, pull up two separate tally tool windows. Use one tally tool for each team. 

The online tally tool is also useful for teaching students different ways of representing numbers, relationships among numbers, number grouping, counting by fives, and subitizing. For example, you might display a tally of 15 and ask students to determine the quantity as quickly as possible.
